History

Laid down as Empire Pitcairn, completed as HMS Moray Firth, aircraft engine repair shipy. HMS Moray Firth was intended as a repair ship for the maintenance and overhaul of Rolls Royce "Merlin" aero-engines. 1947 sold to Stag Line Ltd, converted into a cargo ship. 1948 renamed Linaria by same owners. 1954 sold to Chellew Nav. Co. Ltd renamed Eskglen. 1956 Managers restyled as Esk Shipping Co.Ltd. 1961 sold to, Fortune Shipping Co, Hong Kong renamed Marine Fortune, 1967 Scrapped Yokosuka, Japan.
