German U-boat U-551 was sunk in the North Atlantic south of Iceland, in position 62°37'N, 16°47'W, by depth charges from the British anti-submarine trawler HMS Visenda (Lt. R.S. Winder, OBE, RNR).

HrMs O 10 (Lt. Baron D.T. Mackay, RNN) participated in A/S exercises off Tobermory together with HMNZS Moa (Lt.Cdr. P.G. Connolly, DSC, RNZNVR) and HMS Visenda (T/Lt. S.F. Archer, RNR), HMCS Moosejaw (Lt. F.E. Grubb, RCN) and FFS Roselys. (1)
