12 Dec 1942
The British destroyers HMS Whitshed, HMS Worcester and HMS Vesper, the British escort destroyers HMS Brocklesby and HMS Albrighton, and the Norwegian escort destroyer Eskdale attacked German shipping in the English Channel. Eskdale torpedoed and sank Sperrbrecher 144/Beijerland (387 BRT) west of Le Treport, France in position 50°05'N, 01°09'E and Whitshed torpedoed and sank Sperrbecher 178/Gauss (1236 BRT) north-east of Dieppe, France in position 50°04'N, 01°09'E.

22 Feb 1943
HMS Trespasser (Lt. R.M. Favell, RN) conducted RDF trials off Plymouth with HNoMS Eskdale (Lt.Cdr. S.V. Storheill, RNorN), HMS Northcote and Motor Launches. (3)

14 Apr 1943
The German 5th S-Flottille (S-65, S-81, S-82, S-90, S-112 and S-121 attacked convoy PW-323 off Lizard Head. The convoy was escorted by the Norwegian destroyers Eskdale, Glaisdale and 3 trawlers. S-90 torpedoed and sank the Eskdale and S-121 torpedoed and sank the merchant Stanlake (1742 GRT). (4)
