German U-boat U-76 was sunk south of Iceland, in position 58°35'N, 20°20'W, by depth charges from the British destroyer HMS Wolverine (Lt.Cdr. J.M. Rowland, RN) and the British sloop HMS Scarborough (Lt.Cdr. A.P. Northney, RN).
25 May 1941
HrMs O 23 (Lt.Cdr. G.B.M. van Erkel, RNN) carried out A/S exercises off Gibraltar with the British sloop HMS Scarborough (Lt. A.P. Northey, DSC, RN) and the British ASW trawler HMS Lady Hogarth (T/Lt. S.G. Barnes, RNR).
Upon completion of this exercise all three ships joined the escort of convoy HG 63 (11th war patrol for O 23).

HMS Scarborough (Lt.Cdr. E.B. Carnduff, RN) picks up 69 survivors from the British merchant Clan Alpine that was torpedoed and damaged by German U-boat U-107 190 nautical miles west of Cape Finisterre in position 42°45'N, 13°31'W.
The Clan Alpine was finally sunk by depth charges from HMS Scarborough.
