Notes on event

At 09.55 hours on 25 July 1942, U-89 sank the Lucille M. off Cable Sable with 20 incendiary amd 15 high-explosive rounds from the deck gun. The crew, four of them wounded, abandoned ship in a lifeboat and made landfall at Shelburne, Nova Scotia.
